Raid is from a very noble and rich familly were he used to live happily until his parents got killed under his eyes by an assassin who was hired by a king who wanted to get rid of all nobles to be the most powerful in the kingdom.Raid managed to survive to the assassins with pure luck.
He ate his Devil Fruit the Buredo Buredo no Mi (Blade Blade Fruit) because of his hunger so he stole it in a small street market but didn't know it was a DF at the beginning, but when the seller found him eating the DF he wanted to kill him but Raid unconciously used his power to save himself and killed the seller.
